How to find your Triumph paint code
From Caspian-Blue to Racing-Yellow, Triumph bikes are available in an array of colours, so it’s important to get the ideal paint colour match. Just like cars, every Triumph motorbike has a paint code that helps you identify the exact shade.
If you need to find your paint code, there are two easy methods:
-
Use our helpful colour code finder. Simply select your make and model, or enter your registration into our search tool, and we’ll find your Triumph paint code so you can order the ideal hue.
-
Take a look at your bike: Your Triumph paint code location will usually be on a sticker or plates under the seat. On some models, it will be inside the fairings or on your VIN plate.
Your colour code could have two or three digits. Alternatively, it may be a four-digit number preceded by ‘TRI’.
DIY guide to using Triumph touch-up paint
Sprucing up a TR7 or repairing your Scrambler? Our repair and touch-up paints make it easy to achieve a flawless finish in a few steps.
-
First, degrease the damaged area and use a primer if the scratch is deep — this ensures the paint adheres better for a seamless finish.
-
Next, homogenise the paint by giving the aerosol, paint pen, bottle or tin a good shake.
-
To verify your colour match, use your Triumph touch-up paint on a hidden part of the bodywork. Otherwise, spray a piece of scrap with your repair paint.
-
You’re ready to apply your first coat. Apply a smooth, thin layer and let it dry completely for about 25 minutes. Repeat if necessary, and use a clear coat for long-lasting results.
